  Day 1. ANTANANARIVO

Depending on your booking date, a warm reception and a nice meeting will be reserved for you at Antananarivo airport. Transfer to your hotel to prepare for the next day’s adventure!

  Day 2. ANTANANARIVO – ANTSIRABE

On the way to the National 7 passing by Behenjy village to taste its famous local foie gras known as the best in Madagascar. It is also known for its «menakely»: very tasty rice fritters. You will also taste tasty sausages and roasted chickens with local spices. Behenjy is a true gastronomic city.

Then back on the road and stop at Ambatolampy, a small town typical of the highlands region, located a few kilometers of the Ankaratra massif. It is known for its foundries, for the manufacture of copper, aluminum articles and utensils.

Continuation towards Antsirabe «The city of water». Installation at your hotel and a small city tour.

  Day 3. ANTSIRABE – MIANDRIVAZO

After breakfast, on the way to Miandrivazo town which is an obligatory transition for the Tsiribihina river descent.

Arrival in Miandrivazo, afternoon of relaxation to prepare for the next day.

  Day 4 and 5. TSIRIBIHINA RIVER DESCENT

Resumption of the road to Masiakampy 35 km from Miandrivazo, the pier where the descent on the Tsiribihina river begins.

The three days and two nights descent is done by barge to admire the landscapes that surround the river, the lemurs, the waterbirds, the waterfall, and the natural pool. You could also see crocodiles on the edges of the white sands during the crossing.

  Day 6. BELO TSIRIBIHINA – BEKOPAKA

The last day of descent starts after breakfast on board where you will see the first Baobabs marking the finish in Belo Tsiribihina. Your driver is waiting for you to repaint the road to Bekopaka city.

  Day 7. TSINGY OF BEMARAHA NATIONAL PARK (Manambolo Gorge – Little Tsingy)

To start the day, visit of the Manambolo gorge which is a large limestone cliff carved by the river millions of years ago forming impressive caves. Then we continue to the Little Tsingy at the entrance to Bemaraha National Park.

The Tsingy are extensive limestone cathedrals and friable rocks composed of fossilized shells and subsequently shaped by rainwater giving it the merit of one of the whole island’s most spectacular landscapes .

  Day 8. TSINGY OF BEMARAHA NATIONAL PARK (Great Tsingy)

The second day will be dedicated to the visit and discovery of the Great Tsingy 15 km from Bekopaka. This visit requires a good physical condition, rewarded then by a breathtaking view to the top of the Tsingy.

  Day 9. BEKOPAKA – KIRINDY

Let’s take back the road for the Kirindy Reserve through a dry forest trail and grassy savannah.

Arrival in Kirindy, a good rest is necessary to be able to start the night visit (possibility to observe the Fosas, the Microcebits (Berthae and Murinus) and the Hypogeomys of the park)

  Day 10. KIRINDY – MORONDAVA

Excursion in the Kirindy forest which is distinguished by its important floristic richness (medicinal plants, precious wood trees, baobabs…) and different types of animal species: the Propithèque (Sifaka), the Cryptoprocta Ferox (Fosa), the Lemur-cat (phaner), the Vositse (giant rat) and snakes. The Kirindy Forest allows to observe these animals nearby and without any danger.

After the visit, return to the road to discover the famous Baobab in love and the Baobab Alley at sunset.

  Day 11. MORONDAVA – ANTANANARIVO

After breakfast, if time permits, city tour and transfer to the airport.

Then international return flight.
