Day 1. ANTANANARIVO
Depending on your booking date, a warm reception and a nice meeting will be reserved for you at Antananarivo airport. Transfer to your hotel to prepare for the next day’s adventure!

Day 2. ANTANANARIVO – ANTSIRABE
On the way to the National 7 passing by Behenjy town to taste its famous local foie gras known as the best in Madagascar. It is also known for its «menakely»: very tasty rice fritters. You will also taste tasty sausages and roasted chickens with local spices. Behenjy is a true gastronomic city.
Then back on the road and stop at Ambatolampy, a small town typical of the Highlands region, located a few kilometers of the Ankaratra massif. It is known for its foundries, for the manufacture of copper, aluminum articles and utensils.
We continue to Antsirabe «The city of water». Transfer to your hotel. Night at hotel.
Day 3. ANTSIRABE – AMBOSITRA ( Zafimaniry Arts) – AMBALAVAO
Morning departure from Antsirabe to reach Ambositra, formerly called «The city of roses». It is the Capital of the «Zafimaniry» territory and above all a city of art, culture, and crafts (master of Madagascar’s marquetry). It is worth visiting this city to acquire know-how in crafts.
Visit of the artisanal stands selling Zafimaniry wood sculptures, furniture and the famous marquetry testifying to the creativity and mastery of this particular art.
Arrival in Ambalavao, transfer to your hotel and rest of the day free.

Day 4. AMBALAVAO – ANDRIAMPOTSY (4h walk / 862m+ & 250m- of cumulated difference in altitude)
Morning departure in the direction of the Andringitra massif. On the way, visit the Soavita vineyard and tasting wine, then visit the artisanal manufacture of wild silk and Antemoro paper. After these visits, you will attack the track that leads to the entrance of the Andringitra National Park.
You will enter the park and start your first day of hiking to the royal bath and reach your first bivouac at the Andriampotsy camp site, at the foot of huge granite cliffs at an 2050m altitude.

Day 5. MANAMPOTSY – IANTARANOMBY (9h walk / 1,000m+ & 1,400m- of cumulated ascent)
Early wake up with the first sunrays and departure to attack the Pic Boby ascent or Imarivolanitra. With its 2,658 meters of altitude, it is the second highest summit of Madagascar. Encounter splendid and unique high altitude habitats with a panoramic view at the top of the peak, we can even see the Isalo massif further south.
Descent and continuation to the “extra-terrestrial” tour. You will quickly understand why this circuit is called so. Surreal lunar landscapes that you will not forget. After this superb landscape you will cross the endemic palm forest “ravenea glauca” to reach Iantaranomby campsite at the edge of a river in which you can refresh yourself.

Day 6. IANTARANOMBY – TSARANORO MASSIF – RANOHIRA (5h walk / 140m+ & 850m- of cumulated difference in altitude)
The last day of trekking will be the descent to the Tsaranoro valley to admire the great cliff that gives it its name: Tsaranoro. This gigantic cliff is well known worldwide by climbers and some adventurers. It is one of the most magical and quiet places in Madagascar.
Possibility to see Pachypodium d’enchyflorum, different species of aloe and lizards. From the village of Morarano, you will start the crossing of this magnificent Tsaranoro valley to finish at the Catta Camp or Tsara Camp.
Afterwards, you will take the road to join the exit on the National7 and head towards Ranohira.

Day 7. ISALO NATIONAL PARK
Visit of the Isalo National Park which represents a unique ecology within the Madagascar National Parks network. The Isalo National Park contains a ruiniform massif of continental Jurassic geomorphology and endemic rock vegetation (Aloes, Euphorbia, Pachypodes, Kalanchoe…).
The specific fauna of this exceptional habitat is largely endemic (rock reptiles, avifauns, primates…). Isalo is the Colorado of Madagascar, an open window on Southern biodiversity.

Day 8. RANOHIRA – TULÉAR
Back on the road to reach Tuléar city, then visit of the Antsokay Arboretum
It is a natural museum laid out as a botanical park which extends over 40 ha, surrounded by a living hedge. The site is home to 900 plant species, 90% of which are endemic, as well as medicinal plants. This excursion will make you discover the magical and surprising world of Madagascar’s Southwest flora. Night at hotel.
Day 9. TULÉAR – ANAKAO
After a good night’s rest, transfer to the port to take a speedboat to the village of Anakao (1 hour crossing), known for its wonderful white sands on the edge of a lagoon green sea giving a breathtaking view.
Arrival in Anakao, installation at your hotel and rest of the day free.

Days 10 et 11. ANAKAO
Free day. Nevertheless, many activities can be proposed by your hotel.
Among others, you can make an excursion to neighbouring islands such as Nosy Ve, the only place in Madagascar where you can find Phaetons or straw in tail.
Or to Nosy Satrana, about ten kilometres South of Anakao along the coast through the transparent lagoon. It is an uninhabited and very wild island where you can still find fossilized pieces of Aepyornis’ eggshells: the ostrich’s giant ancestor.
Visit the Tsimanampetsotsa National Park, home to Madagascar’s first RAMSAR site. Specificities of this park: pink flamingos, sacred lake, radiated turtle…
You can also practice diving activities.

Day 12. ANAKAO – TULÉAR – ANTANANARIVO
Early boarding in the morning to return to Tuléar. Depending on the domestic flight schedule, it is possible to take a city tour, especially to taste the local dishes and the famous ice cream of the region.
Then transfer to the airport to Antananarivo.
